The Lagos State police command has announced that it will not accept the bail, of a famous theater actor accused of raping a 14 year old girl.
The Lagos State commissioner of police, Akeem Odumosu made the announcement, during a press conference at the Lagos police headquarters on friday.
Odumosu who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized, to speak on the media.
He reveled that the suspect was charged, with two counts of felony criminal mischief.
The first allegation is that he raped a child at the wrong time and in the wrong place, and the second is that he touched the child without the consent of her parents.
We find out that in the case of the second allegation, all the investigation established that was denied.
We are waiting for the court to proceed, so that the case can be taken Odumosu said.
The accused of sexual assault known as Baba Ijesha could be granted, bail but the defendant will not be held accountable for the incident in Lagos State.
The Lagos commissioner of police added that only the court can prove that Baba Ijesha, was guilty or not but it is our job to investigate and bring the suspect to justice.
We have found convincing evidence that Baba Ijesha did something that should, not have been done under the law but we have not given up.
The case file has been already submitted, to the Ministry of Justice for legal review.
