EL-RUFAI SAYS HE WILL DEAL WITH ANYONE WHO SAYS RUBBISH ABOUT HIS GOVERNMENT
Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna, has issued a stern warning to Nigerians asking them to be careful of what they post on Twitter about the state.
According to reports, The Kaduna State Governor issued this warning in Abuja on Tuesday as he spoke at the launching of “Digital Wealth,” a book by Japheth Omojuwa, a Nigerian blogger.
El-Rufai, who stated that he was watching what people were tweeting regarding his government personally, said that there were laws in place to deal with any individual who errs.
“If you want to tweet anything about Kaduna, be very careful because I am watching and …we have a very very strong law to get you”, he said.
Speaking about the author of the book, El-Rufai said he was a “son” and “troublemaker” with the ability to change the world. He also said he would at all times defend Omojuwa with his wife.
“I like Omojuwa because he is a troublemaker. It is troublemakers that change the world… Beware, ladies and gentleman, of people that are morally flexible. Japheth is not one of those.
“Omojuwa is like a son. I will defend him with my life. If you fight Japheth, you’re fighting me… I’m here to show solidarity with a favorite son. Anything Japheth is doing from now till the end of eternity I’ll be there”, he added.
